Building outposts in Starfield can be a rewarding experience with the proper setup, and yet some players can't help but wonder how much better the system could be if hostile outposts could be conquered. Unlike the ship builder in Starfield, fans have been somewhat lukewarm on the outpost system. Compared to the settlements of Fallout 4, many have felt that the feature was either a step backwards, or somewhat redundant given how easy gathering resources or credits gets after a certain point.
